Thankfully for the second year in a row I was able to attend the California Association of Museums (CAM) yearly conference! Not only was I able to attend but this was the second year I was a speaker! I am truly thankful for this opportunity.
This year’s conference theme was 20/20 Vision. This got me thinking about the future of museums and that is what my discussion focused on. Other topics of the conference covered a variety of topics including visitor engagement, reaching young adult audiences, curating unique collections and technology in museums. Over the upcoming week I will share what I learned in the sessions I attended.
I do enjoy going to conferences and learning what other people are working on and learning best practices. Many times I realize that what I am thinking, or experiencing, is not that far off from what others are experiencing.
