Remember, Kids Get Arthritis Too

The Arthritis Foundation is a cause near to my heart. When I was 18 years old I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. If I had a penny for every time I was told that I was too young to get arthritis I personally could fund the cure for this horrible disease.

And yes, kids can get arthritis too. Today is Juvenile Arthritis Day. Juvenile arthritis (JA), also known as pediatric rheumatic disease, isn’t a specific disease. It’s an umbrella term to describe the inflammatory and rheumatic diseases that develop in children under the age of 16.

Here is to raising more awareness that arthritis doesn’t care what age you are and that we need a cure NOW.
